Program Schedule

The Gold Cup is the most important competition of the Nordic Folkboat. It is comparable to a World Cup. In 1963, the Cup itself was donated by Senator Hagelstein of Luebeck. Since then, the Cup has been held annually either in Denmark, Sweden or Germany.

1st Day

After an extrem moody and prosperous dinner with a grateful buffet at the Yachthafenresidenz Hohe Düne, the monday welcomed us with sunny weather but fainty wind. Until afternoon the conditions advanced and the first race could be started and finished successfully.

The field spread seaward. Every boat on search for its best condition. Even extrem blows had been successfully here. The winner of the first day: Erik Køster, Thomas Clausen und Hening Søresen (DEN 952) from Denmark. They took it with a distinct gap to the main field of the boots.
